Follow recorded Place order submissions through a chronological timeline of available checkout evidence.
Identify recorded validation problems, missing fields, unchecked terms, and payment-selection errors.
Correlate browser, AJAX, Store API, gateway, and server events from standard WooCommerce checkout flows.
Distinguish order creation from accepted, pending, failed, or completed payment states.
Inspect recorded timeouts, network problems, script errors, unfinished exits, and available fatal-error evidence.
Configure retention and storage limits, remove records, and optionally keep redacted failure copies in WooCommerce logs.
Walk through a missing required field, a gateway failure, and unconfirmed payments, then explore the admin screens.
Fictional checkout examples.
Includes an admin settings preview.
One practical starting point. Adapt the example to your products and your store’s settings.
Checkout Watcher begins observing the submission and follows available browser, validation, server, and payment events in the same attempt.
For a missing postcode, the record can show the validation reason and the stage where it appeared. Open the timeline to see the events around that failure.
If WooCommerce creates an order before a gateway declines payment, the timeline records both stages. An existing order is not mistaken for a successful payment.
Identify recorded missing fields, invalid addresses, unchecked terms, unavailable shipping, or payment-selection errors without guessing from a generic complaint.
Inspect available timeout, network, script-error, or unfinished-exit evidence and the last stage that was confirmed.
Filter attempts, inspect an individual timeline, and choose retention and storage limits. Optional redacted copies of terminal failures can appear in WooCommerce logs.
Understand the last confirmed stage of a checkout attempt without confusing an order record with successful payment. Readable explanations sit alongside the recorded technical events.
Requirements and supported integrations, all in one place.
For the demonstrated build: 0.2.5.
Tested with WordPress 7.0.4 and WooCommerce 11.0.
A generic bank decline, a server rejection before WordPress runs, or an off-site payment abandoned without a provider callback may expose no specific cause. The timeline then names the last confirmed stage.
A third-party checkout that bypasses WooCommerce forms, the Store API, and order hooks cannot be observed.
